The installation was executed in a gallery located on the premises of a no longer operating steelworks. I aimed at achieving an absurd “Matryoshka doll” effect—that is, creating a steelworks inside a steelworks: a miniature, condensed version of what was outside. The exhibition resulted from a week of strolling around the postindustrial area, and all works were only made from materials found within the former facility.
